Narwhal: 59" Gray White Polka Dot

Swim Direction

Part of the Rachel Laundon Art folk art fish-and mammal- collection. Narwhals are awesome! This tusked mammal would be happy swimming on your walls as a conversation starter at you next holiday party or simply to make you smile!

Created tip to tail by Vermont artist Rachel Laundon. This piece is an original, His body and tusk are carved and sculpted from wood, foam and an air dry architectural clay. Even though it is large piece, he is relatively lightweight! I painted his body in soft matte grays with a beautiful mottled pattern and added gold accents to his long tusk. The reverse paint clear glass cabochons for the eyes feature have a little re-purposed metal behind it for added bling.

This Narwhal would look great over a mantle, hanging over a sofa in the living room, or swimming in a library.
A conversation piece for Narwhal fanatics and hipsters.

The Narwhal is signed and dated on the back and includes a hanging wire and hook for easy mounting.
