20" Polka Dot Bluegill Sunfish
Part of the Rachel Laundon Art folk art fish collection. This colorful Sunfish will look awesome swimming on your wall to remind you of your days fishing as a kid off the dock, as a conversation starter or just to make you happy!
Created tip to tail by Vermont artist Rachel Laundon. This piece is an original, it is carved from wood and painted with brilliant blue, yellow, and copper and the pattern on this guy is scrumptious! His fins are copper that I hammered and oxidized for a nice patina that looks amazing against the painted wood. I reverse paint clear glass cabochons for the eyes and added a little bling behind it with re-purposed metal .
This particular fish would look great in an entry way, swimming in the bathroom, or even hanging outside on a porch/covered deck.
A conversation piece for fish lovers and a chic alternative to taxidermy.
The fish is signed and dated on the back and includes a hanging wire and hook for easy mounting.
